About the Position: U.S. Army Center for Initial Military Training (CIMT) mission is to Lead the synchronization and management of initial military training and education to transform civilian volunteers into Soldiers who are disciplined, fit, combat ready Soldiers who increase Army readiness at their first unit of assignment. Fort Eustis, VA is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach.
Duties
Perform all aspects of the planning, analysis, formulation, justification, presentation, execution and review of multi-appropriations, to include Operation and Maintenance, Army, Research, Development, Test and Evaluation, Procurement, etc.
Serve as Command POM Point of Contact (POC) for identifying/defining issues, developing alternative courses of action, presenting findings recommendation to Senior CIMT leadership.
Advise staff on interpretations of planning and programming regulations and policy guidance issues
Provide financial advisory services including financial information, trend analysis, budget guidance and advice to managers and staff.
Responsible for managing and conducting CIMT strategic resource planning, managing, and controlling analysis for all CIMT programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment.
- Temporary Duty (TDY), up to 25% of the time.
- FMC-02 Financial Management Certification.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) providing financial advisory services for a segment of the organization budget; 2) preparing a variety of reports covering estimated and actual status of funds, expenses and obligations; 3) performing in-depth analysis of budget requests; AND 4) tabulating cost data on individual operating accounts, analyzing historical trends, and applying basic mathematical formulas to make projections and determinations for adjustments to budgets and/or associated rates.
