About the Position: Serves as the Director of a Product Support Integration Division (PSID); manages, directs, plans, and coordinates a large staff of employees in the operations of a PSID.

Duties

Is responsible for providing overall direction in the development, evaluation, control, and interpretation of medical logistics policies and procedures for all assigned Class (CL)VIIIA materiel. Assures timely, effective accomplishment of medical logistics functions, which may include: Command program development and implementation, planning, programming, requirements determination, provisioning, procurement and acquisition direction, determining maintenance support requirements, programming and conducting maintenance evaluations, developing maintenance (overhaul, rebuild and retrofit) standards and procedures, evaluating engineering change proposals, developing repair expenditure limits, preparing/ revising publications, and evaluating program proposals. Supervises the creation, evaluation and execution of Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP's) for assigned medical devices and equipment in their Role of Care. Oversees Item Requirements, Inventory Readiness and Supply Chain Management programs for assigned medical devices and equipment in their PSID.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires a secret security clearance
  • This position may require up to 10% TDY
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Certification within 48 months of entrance on duty
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This is a Critical Acquisition Position.
  • CAP Position- Selectee must execute a written tenure agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years.

Specialized Experience is defined as having one year at the next lower grade level or equivalent pay band level performing the following duties; 1. Managing overall planning, analysis and implementation of a life cycle management command (LCMC); 2. Analyzes potential problems and development of recommended solutions for improving procedures, programs, and/or systems as they relate to organizations operational performance; AND 3. Analyzes performance, policies and processes, to make recommendations and implement optimal command-wide logistics initiatives. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: LeadershipPlanning and EvaluatingSupport Equipment
