This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Competitive Service Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
Exercises delegated authority to oversee the overall planning, direction, and timely execution and integration of business processes supporting ILSC operations and managed medical systems
Serves as the principal advisor to the Director and represents Command Team in meetings/discussions/panels with representatives from various elements of the Department of Defense (DoD) and other Government departments involved with medical hardware, logistics systems and policies, and supply chain management activities.
Formulates organizational strategies, tactics, and budget/action plan to acquire and allocate resources.
Requirements
- Secret security clearance required.
- Occasional TDY may be required.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for advanced Life Cycle Logistics Certification within 48 months of entrance on duty.
- One-year probationary period may be required.

Specialized experience is defined as having one year at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent pay band level in the Federal Service performing the following duties;
1) Managing overall planning, analysis and implementation of medical material programs/ activities; AND
2) Analyzing performance, policies and processes, to make recommendations and implement optimal command-wide industrial operations and/or logistics initiatives; AND
3) Developing solutions for improving procedures, programs, and/or systems as they relate to headquarters and subordinate organizations operational performance.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirements using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
