About the Position: Located at Womack Army Medical Center Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Fort Liberty is a culturally diverse area with rural and city populations, co-located at Fayetteville, NC, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities. Fayetteville is centrally located between the beaches of North Carolina and the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.
Duties
Executes supply activities involving the maintenance of hand receipt records.
Maintains a variety of property management and accounting records.
Reviews requirements ensuring requested equipment is authorized or initiates documentation to obtain authorization changes.
Utilizes automated inventory management systems for inventory control.
Initiating and preparing requests, ensures that supply documents are properly prepared for turn-in.
Reviews property records for possible discrepancies and performs follow-up actions to correct errors.
Ensures or personally conducts search to ascertain best vendor source.
Maintains daily log of all credit card purchases.
Assigns document numbers for each credit card purchase.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License.
- Incumbent must complete training in hazardous waste management procedures within (6) months after the date of appointment to this
position and will not work in unsupervised situations until these training requirements have been met.
- Must be able to possess or obtain and maintain a government vehicle certification to pick-up purchases.
- Pre-employment physical required and be able to lift 50lbs. .
- Position is weather essential.
- This position requires the incumbent to occasionally travel to participate in meetings, conferences, and training classes.
- Individual must be able to work different shifts, schedules, weekends, holidays and overtime.
- The incumbent is required to comply with the Standards of Conduct provisions of AR 600-50.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: conduct inventories and inspect for damages of supplies and equipment; operate motor vehicle, load and unload supplies and equipment; initiate work order and use automated systems to input and retrieve supply/equipment data; and prepare support forms and reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
