About the Position: This position is located within the Womack Medical Center in Fort Liberty, NC. Incumbent will serve as a Medical Supply Technician within the center or in one of it's surrounding clinics.

Duties

Utilize an automated medical logistics system to input and retrieve medical and non-medical supply/equipment data. Coordinate the requisition, receipt and issuance of medical supplies and medical/non-medical equipment within a medical treatment facility (MTF) or clinic). Monitor and report budget compliance for supplies to appropriate department managers. Prepare and track supply request packets for assigned departments. Coordinate with main post contracting office, logistical division contractors and vendors to confirm logistical support for the department. Utilize office automation software to draft correspondences or create reports for the department.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing supply operations support for medical and non-medical supplies within a medical treatment facility (MTF) or clinic to receive, store, and issue medical and non-medical supplies; utilizing automated logistic systems to input/retrieve data, prepare reports, maintain inventory records and/or track supply discrepancies; and reconciling supply purchase records for a department. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Supply Chain Management or Logistics. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
