About the Position: This position is located at Camp Mackall, NC.
Duties
Serve as a Supply Technician to ensure the availability of supplies, equipment and services for administrative needs, standard and non-standard in support of institutional training.
Receive and inspect supply items, warehouses and transfers material.
Serve as the point of contact for supply related logistical issues.
Conduct formal and informal inventory of critical sensitive and noncritical items and makes adjustment to property records.
Purchase supplies, standard and non-standard equipment, including regular, special and high value items.
Maintain database on IBM mainframe computer via remote terminals.
Maintain stand-alone backup database on a commercial data base management system application using data manipulation language and supervises fielding of new automated systems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- This position may have a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% or less of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Knowledge of supply system, policies, and work methods to accomplish actions. (2) Utilizing supply automated systems, such as Government Purchase Card (GPC) to order and track supplies.3) Analyze automated systems data to resolve logistical, supply, and procurement problems. 4) Perform clerical and supply duties. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
