You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the G-9 Division, Assessment Branch of MARFORCOM NORFOLK.
Duties
You will apply analytic skills, problem identification, Joint/Service operational planning, and program deployment/implementation abilities which includes discipline in time management, flexibility, initiative, and "out of the box" thinking.
You will guide staff in developing measures of effectiveness and performance standards to track mission accomplishment, participating in operational planning to ensure objectives are measurable and achievable.
You will create plans for collecting and analyzing performance assessment data, serving as the primary source for analysis and quality control within the command.
You will conduct training on Continuous Process Improvement techniques such as Lean Six Sigma, and the Theory of Constraints.
You will oversee the assignments and completion of performance assessment tasks, ensuring adherence to priorities, deadlines, and acceptable standards, while also reviewing completed work for quality assurance.
You will offer analysis supported by both qualitative and quantitative data to senior leaders, influencing key decisions within the organization.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- This position may require intermittent scheduled or scheduled overtime.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyze issues and evaluate alternatives to facilitate effective strong problem solving and/or alternatives recommendations; apply business program processes to enhance operational planning as member of a planning working group; develop decision-making findings to support laws and regulations; and communicate complex ideas through oral and written presentations.
