You will serve as a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist in the Special Material Supply Branch of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK.

Duties

You will direct personnel in receipt and shipment of small arms, inventory/warehouse management, functions of PEDC, stock control, receipt control, technical documentation, material movement, shipping, handling, storage, and customer services. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the functions of the Special Material Supply Branch (SMSB). You will perform static inspection and technical screening to accurately identify classified Depot Level Repairables (DLR's) and sensitive gun parts received at SMSB You will recommend corrective action for inventory discrepancies. You will supervise the work of multiple civilian employees and military personnel

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-11 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates knowledge of effective and efficient material management, warehousing, and shipping solutions for small arms, controlled material, Depot Level. I have experience directing personnel in performing receipt and shipment of small arms, inventory management and warehouse management, stock control, receipt control, technical documentation, material movement, shipping, handling, storage, and customer services. Examples of specialized experience include: 1. Performs static inspection and technical screening to accurately identify classified Depot Level Repairables (DLR's) and sensitive gun parts received at Special Material Supply Branch (SMSB); 2. Develops, refines, interprets and issues policies and procedures for the SMSB that interface with other supply management policies 3. Recommends corrective action for inventory discrepancies and ensures that inventory accuracy standards are maintained; 4. Advises subordinates on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, goals, work priorities and methods; 5. Planning, coordinating, and supervising the functions and workload of the Special Material Supply Branch (SMSB).
