You will serve as a Supply Chain Management (SCM) Branch Head in the Public Works Business Line (PWBL) of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will review, analyze, and interpret supply directives and procedures. You will ensure units/activities receive guidance and assistance required to correct problems and deficiencies. You will manage and direct all aspects of the various supply chain processes for NAVFAC MIDLANT. You will provide authoritative and critical guidance relative to strategies in functional areas such as inventory, warehousing and storage management, stock control requirements determination and receipt/issue processing. You will provide administrative and technical supervision to approximately (45) employees.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) overseeing all operational logistics support functions to improve material and supply chain services; 2) recommending and implementing policies, controls, and operating procedures for the overall management of supply operations including operational and funding requirements; and 3) providing supply management to ensure effective support to naval operating and supporting forces.
