Duties

Direct development of logistics policy proposals of world-wide applicability. Develop operational plans to support Brigade operation requirements. Review recommendations for compatibility with logistics management goals. Serve as the Support Operations Officer responsible for integrating logistics operations. Perform multi-functional logistics planning to support the requirements of the Brigade. Manage Brigade level programs in support of Logistics Readiness Centers (LRC) and the Sustainment Readiness Model (SRM) Process. Provide oversight of Brigade personnel to support logistic operations. Supervise logistic management activities on material readiness of contingency units. Support Logistics Readiness Centers with contract actions to ensure mission integrity. Ensure adequate funding is available to accomplish missions. Serve as a leader of a team of logisticians in conducting military decision-making process (MDMP) to recommend courses of action. Assign work to subordinates based on priorities to complete logistic operations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually.
  • The position is Non-Critical Sensitive (2) requiring a Secret security clearance or the incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 20% of the time.
  • This position is designated as a "Key” position. This position shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impacting the organization to function effectively.
  • This position is designated as Mission Essential.
  • This position requires a 3-year tenure agreement. Must sign DD Form 2888 (Critical Acquisition Position Service Agreement) and execute, as a condition of employment, a written tenure agreement.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Advanced Level certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.
  • This is a Critical Acquisition Positions (CAP).
