You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist (Customer Support) in the Fleet Technical Support Division (C210) of the Engineering and Planning Department of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Duties
You will serve as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist supporting Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility in the mission and operational sustainment of Shipboard IT systems.
You will provide customer field support services, including software configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance and technical assistance for assigned Shipboard IT systems.
You will provide technical assistance in planning, installing, testing, operating, troubleshooting and maintaining enterprise hardware and software systems.
You will be responsible for the execution of shipboard systems, subsystems and components, the development of integrated software and hardware applications, techniques, and procedure documents.
You will serve as the organization advisor and consultant on matters relative to assigned projects and shipboard IT systems.
You will serve on project teams responsible for shipboard IT system implementation and upgrades, determine project scope and additional staff resources required to complete projects, and prepare project work plans and timelines.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Technical Support Spec level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical customer support services related to the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and resolving of IT infrastructure for Surface and Submarine network shipboard systems.
