Duties
Provides assistance to customers on personnel and manpower management issues to improve the activity’s manpower administrative operations. Supports the Request for Personnel Action functions, assisting customers with hiring actions.
Interviews staff or supervisory personnel, for operational policies, directives, and other pertinent sources to gather, correlate and analyze facts in the area under study.
Organize, collects, analyze information related to specific manpower and management programs.
Prepares organizational crosswalks using the Integrated manning document to document the organizational structure.
Coordinates staffing actions for all manpower document approvals.
Daily tasks support manpower reporting, data analyses, and preparing administrative documents as required.
Provides advice to managers on required and new policies concerning manpower or personnel issues, such as organizational structure and manpower reporting activities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
Qualifications
This position will be filled by DHA STRL Direct Support.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. General Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the DJ-01 (GS-04) grade level, which includes 1. Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; 2. Plan and organize work; and 3. Communicate effectively orally and in writing. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service DJ-01 (GS-04).

Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.
