About the Position: Headquarters, US Army Forces Command G-4 Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Fort Liberty is a culturally diverse area with rural and city populations, co-located at Fayetteville, NC centrally located in the beautiful state of North Carolina, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities. Fayetteville is centrally located between the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.
Duties
Serves as a Senior Logistics Management Specialist and Team Leader on the FORSCOM G-4 staff.
Responsibility for developing, reviewing, and implementing directives, policies, procedures and programs affecting distribution, redistribution, supply and maintenance support, readiness and disposition for assigned systems/equipment.
Tracks, manages, coordinates, integrates and reviews all operational logistics and sustainment aspects of the Army Campaign Plan.
Analyzes and evaluates logistics studies, technical reports, supply data systems, contractor studies, and materiel developed.
Evaluate, coordinate, and review programs and procedures regarding general logistics matters.
Requirements
- Incumbent must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Incumbent must be available for travel on both military and commercial aircraft.
- Incumbent may be required to work overtime.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
- Position requires travel up to 25% of the time, which may include extended periods away from the primary duty location, both within CONUS and overseas.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Planning, developing, and monitoring the execution of vital logistics projects and programs or 2) Performing logistical support activities such as material readiness, training, and mobility or 3) Determining time lines, arranging schedules, planning, assigning and reviewing the work of the team. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
