Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Human Resources Management, Talent Management Directorate, CBP Hiring Center located in either Bloomington, MN or Indianapolis, IN.

Duties

In this position, you will serve as a Staffing Team Lead utilizing a variety of coordinating, coaching, training, facilitating, and planning techniques to assist the unit's supervisor with managing a team of Human Resources (HR) Specialists (Recruitment and Placement). This position starts at a salary of $103,409.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $134,435.00 (GS-13, Step 10). Salary: Salary listed reflects the rest of U.S. scale and, if applicable, will be adjusted to meet the locality pay or cost of living expenses of the duty location upon selection. Typical work assignments include: Leading the quality assurance program Identifying trends and errors and evaluating problems, deficiencies, and inadequacies identified in administering the quality assurance program and adjusting accordingly Collaborating with management officials on the assessment of current and anticipated training needs Providing technical guidance, training and assistance to employees and all levels of management based on work reviews and analysis of quality review and audit findings Ensure that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services

Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Researching and using various methods and resources to interpret guidance and making recommendations to leadership in the area of recruitment and placement Advising management on training needs and quality assurance related to federal hiring Applying Federal Human Resource laws and regulations, including Delegated Examining and Merit Promotion procedures Conducting training, evaluating work products to ensure the highest quality of recruitment products for CBP customers Utilizing automated HR data systems to compile & synthesize metrics into quickly consumable data products which leadership relies upon to makes process improvement decisions and tracks employee performance NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible. You must: Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 05/23/2024.
