You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in the Logistics Support Team of NAVSUP FLC SD GF.
Duties
You will coordinate all aspects of logistics and food service support to include repair parts, consumable items, subsistence and provisions, warehousing, Husbanding Support Provider (HSP), fuels, small procurement and contract management support.
You will be responsible for sound and efficient management of the readiness and support branches in order to provide optimum support to combatant commanders while maximizing ship's material readiness.
You will make recommendations for improvement of training and implementation of new procedures relating to logistics, supply, and financial management operations.
You will use change management techniques across the supply chain that ensure supply management business processes and performance results are effectively monitored and comply with command and higher level standards.
You will assist the Division Director and Deputy Division Director in the monitoring of personnel development and managing of associated supporting programs/plans.
You will be responsible for evaluating subordinate leaders, developing and approving individual development plans, making selections on hiring boards, recommending appointment, promotions and/or reassignments.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Qualifications
Your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience performing Supervisory Logistics Management work equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a wide range of knowledge in logistic areas that include business management including finance, material management, inventory management, warehouse management, food service management in support of afloat supply operations. Resume must also have experience that involves 1) developing and performing logistics management operations to include repair parts, consumable items, Husbanding Support Provider (HSP), small procurement and contract management; 2) extensive knowledge of distance support procedures to analyze and develop plan of action and milestones (POA & M) for non-performing supply branches within the logistics support team; and 3) providing leadership, supervision and direction to subordinate employees. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Make recommendations for improvement of training and implementation of new procedures related to logistics, supply, and financial management operations; 2) Plan, assign, and evaluate work accomplished by subordinates ensuring food service operations on distance support ships are executed; 3) Develop and review policies, procedures, higher level point papers and standard operating procedures; 4) Use a wide variety of statistical analysis, data collection, and integration products to develop metrics; and 5) Utilize automated supply and enterprise information management systems to produce inventory reports, financial spreadsheet or identify the effectiveness of logistics support operations.
