You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE PROGRAM SPECIALIST in the OFFICE OF THE COMMANDER of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG SYSTEMS COMMAND PAC. GS-9 SALARY: $62,571.00-$81,272.00 GS-11 SALARY: $75,640.00-$98,330.00

Duties

You will be responsible for administrative support, event planning, and management matters for the Commander. You will screen all calls, correspondence, and visitors to the Executive Office. You will propose, schedule, plan, and coordinate special events, official visits, and high-level visitors for the Office of the Commander. You will coordinate directly with internal and external organizations to ensure visits by the Commander's guests are properly staffed with regard to hospitality, courtesy, and protocol matters. You will assist the Command staff and direct reports in all correspondence matters. You will provide administrative support associated with completion of Officer Fitness Reports and military award submissions.

Qualifications

GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing the daily schedules of a Commander and Vice Commander for a military command; 2) Providing administrative support for the Commander and Vice Commander for all events, visits, and ceremonies, including providing briefings on their background/context; 3) Directing coordination with internal/external organizations to ensure visits by guests are properly staffed; 4) Providing administrative support for the completion of Officer Fitness Reports; 5) Tracking and managing the expenditure of funds for a Commander and Vice Commander; and 6) Providing analytical support in monitoring, tracking, and reporting of supplies, travel, and non-labor costs. NOTE: This experience must be supported in your resume. GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ensuring proper protocol is followed throughout the command; 2) Analyzing information by preparing charts, graphs, summaries, and study reports; 3) Assisting others in gathering data and responding to budget requests; 4) Providing assistance with visit arrangements with multiple high-level offices in the government; and 5) Utilizing automated systems such as, MS Outlook and MS Word. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

GS-11
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree
OR
