About the Position: TACOM is located at the Detroit Arsenal in Warren, Michigan which is in Detroit's largest suburb located about 15 miles north of downtown. The area offers world-class museums, art galleries, concert halls, golf courses, several prestigious universities, and collegiate and professional athletic venues.

Duties

Provides staff guidance and direction to elements engaged in the development and implementation of plans and objectives to assure that actions are in keeping with office and higher echelon objectives. Assists in the development, maintenance and coordination of a responsive financial management program to assure availability of resources to meet established milestones and events for Logistics Power Projection goals. Reviews, analyzes and evaluates accomplishment of program by review of reports, studies, projects, information and recommendations provided by staff members, support personnel, and other organizations. Maintains cognizance of the organization’s financial plan through review of periodic cost summaries, review and analysis of those reports to include but not limited to recommend reprogramming actions to assure maximum utilization of available funds. May serve as team leader for special projects. As team leader, is responsible for coordinating the activities of a multi-functional team.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Financial Management Certification Level 2 in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management within 2 years of employment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret (Tier 3) security clearance.
• You may be expected to travel up to 10% for this position.
• This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
