You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the SECURITY DIVISION of NAVBASE SAN DIEGO SEC DET.
Duties
You will assign work to junior level employees on the basis of selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of the employee.
You will administer and manage Personnel, Information, or Physical Security programs to support operations.
You will assess security threats or vulnerabilities to recommend mitigating actions.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Providing management, antiterrorism and physical security program guidance; 2) Planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting deadlines, priorities, and schedules for completion; 3) Reviewing work methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness; 4) Developing performance standards for subordinates; 5) Identifying and apply new technologies, theories and security concepts for defense of the installation and mitigation of vulnerabilities; 6) Overseeing local threat assessment information provided by other law enforcement and homeland security organizations.
