You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Commander Action Group (CAG) of COMNAVSURFMINEWARDEVCEN.
Duties
You will be responsible for all matters pertaining to personnel, physical, information, and industrial security disciplines for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs to include knowledge of Intelligence Community Standard (ICS/ICS-705).
You will provide continuous personnel security support to staff requiring SCI access in accordance with established and applicable government and local instructions.
You will conduct annual personnel security information reviews.
You will ensure physical security standards are established and maintained governing the construction and protection of facilities for storing, processing, and discussion of SCI to include extraordinary security safeguards
You will provide specific physical security recommendations to ensure facility construction/modification meets accreditation standards for secure facilities.
You will develop, implement, administer, monitor and update command SCI policies to ensure compliance with Intelligence Community and Department of Defense (DoD) regulations.
You will in manage SCI support functions and ensure that proper training is conducted in order to maintain and enforce security guidelines and procedures.
You will conduct annual and/or turnover inventories to ensure accountable SCI information is processed and controlled in accordance with governing instructions.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing oversight for personnel, physical, information, or industrial security operations with knowledge of Intelligence Community Standard (ICS/ICS-705) to ensure compliance with policies and regulations for the security and readiness of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs.
