You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST in the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Headquarters, Supply Chain Technology & Systems Integration, Command Information Office (CIO) Division of NAVAL SUPPLY SYSTEMS COMMAND.
Duties
You will coordinate and monitor applicable implementation and compliance reporting as necessary.
You will participate in review of draft DoD/Navy cyber security policy/directive documentation.
You will provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical Information Technology (IT) issues.
You will coordinate with NAVSUP Program/Project Managers to ensure compliance wit current and future cyber security requirements.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 722 level advanced within 12 months of appointment.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying advanced IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices sufficient to accomplish assignments. Specialized experience must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of cybersecurity and access control policies and procedures. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Applying skills of IT security concepts, methods, standards, and practices sufficient to integrate information systems security with other security disciplines and certifying systems or network accreditation to; ensuring coordination and/or collaboration on security activities; 2) Ensuring the integration of IT programs and services; 3) Developing plans and schedules in order to estimate resource requirements; define milestones and deliverables; monitor activities and evaluate and report on accomplishments; 4) Developing solutions involving integration/operability issues; supporting cyber security input to design, develop, and manage systems to meet current and future business requirements and applying, extending, enhancing, or optimizing the existing architecture; 5) Providing oversight and management of NAVSUP HQ System Authorization Access Request (SAAR) processing requirements.
