About the Position: This position serves as a Logistics Management Specialist for the Joint Activities.
Duties
Advise command, subordinate units and apportioned forces of current logistics status and type of logistics support required for effective operational readiness stature.
Monitor systems for collection of statistical data to satisfy command reporting requirements.
Plan, design, implement, train users, and alter operational system deployments of logistics systems.
Implement logistical plans and procedures for movement of equipment to meet unit requirements.
Develop corrective actions and/or improved methods and procedures for supply, transportation management and general logistics operations.
Maintain base operation’s logistics functional systems to include the security and the integrity of the data processed within the systems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance.
- Required to carry a cellphone and be subject to 24-hour recall.
- This position requires pre-employment urinalysis testing and random testing after.
- This position may be required to travel and temporary duty (TDY) to various domestic and international locations. This may require travel on military aircraft, ships, and vehicles.
- Position requires pre-employment physical.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing, interpreting, and determining the scope and character of logistic policies, procedures and regulations affecting existing and future logistics systems; analyzing and inspecting equipment and facilities to determine requirements for supporting logistical operations; and ensuring compliance with logistical policies, plans, programs, and procedures to meet mission goals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
