About the Position: This vacancy exists within the office of the PEO CS&CSS. Positions will be specifically located in the PEO CS&CSS, E2S2.
Duties
Serves as Supervisory Deputy Product Manager for assigned Acquisition system and/or related mission equipment.
Balances cost, schedule and performance to assure best value for the Army.
Visits industrial facilities, other government agencies and high headquarters to assure adequate program accomplishment.
Reviews programming documents received from HQDA to determine effect on assigned programs.
Conducts analysis and evaluation of programs as they affect assigned equipment.
Oversees POM planning, cost estimating, program planning, programming, budgeting, program integration, interoperability and oversight.
Serves as advisor to officials with broader and higher responsibilities on status of project, progress made, projected future plans, and problems.
Performs the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 50% of the time.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectee must meet position requirements for practitioner certification in (A) Program Management within 60 months as of entrance on duty.
- This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). Incumbent must meet the requirements for CAP.
- This position requires a 3-year tenure agreement. Must sign DD Form 2888 (Critical Acquisition Position Service Agreement) and execute, as a condition of employment, a written tenure agreement.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify for this position based off experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 level in the Federal service which includes: (1) Managing the design, development, acquisition planning and programming for acquisition programs; (2) Executing all aspects of the acquisition process (such as development, testing, system integration, production, sustainment and product improvement); (3) Monitoring/tracking cost, schedule and supportability of project/programs; (4) Directing the development of contract strategies, Statements of Work (SOW), Request for Proposals, source selections, technical evaluations and program integration for programs; (5) Preparing and presenting information decision briefings on organization's current programs.
The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-03 ( or GS-13 equivalent).
