You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST for Operational Forces Support Directorate of the Navel Medical Logistics Command NAVMEDREADLOGCMD D FT DETRICK MD.

Duties

You will be responsible for developing materiel logistic requirements plans, operational and interim support plans, and performance criteria for the repair and/or modernization of medical and dental equipment within Navy. Ships. You will perform In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) functions of life cycle engineering and management in support of biomedical systems deployed within Navy's operational forces. You will provide direction, consultative advice, and/or instruction with respect to technical and administrative matters pertaining to critical life-saving equipment testing, procurement, installation. You will provide direction, consultative advice, and/or instruction with respect to technical and administrative matters pertaining to maintenance of shipboard medical and dental equipment systems to Naval operational force stakeholders.

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
  • Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Designing specifications and configurations for medical spaces. Must be able to technically develop, manage, and deliver integrated logistics system support to achieve equipment performance while identifying opportunities for minimizing support costs, logistics footprint, and providing the user with the resources to sustain the system in an austere condition such as a shipboard environment. Programing documentation and equipment/systems design for logistics consideration. Developing operational and interim support plans supporting data which substantiates funding requirements, repair and/or modification processes, and other support activities which provides the program managers a range of technically acceptable alternatives, with risk and value assessments. Identifying comprehensive equipment systems to include identifying peripherals, durable instrumentation for operations or testing and consumables expended in operating the system. Utilizing MS Office suite or similar applications to analyze data and prepare written communication for decision or information papers and briefs. Analyzing and evaluating policies, procedures, and issues, for effectiveness and efficiency, identifying and resolving discrepancies and problems, and developing solutions and methods for improvement.
