About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Fort Belvoir, VA.
Duties
Evaluates, plans and distributes work assignments on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Develops performance standards, counsels employees on performance, and makes formal and informal performance appraisals.
Establishes a good working climate to encourage employees to participate in a safe work environment while achieving management goals, and to promote efficient and economical work operations.

- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination to ensure the required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 70lbs. in the regular performance of duties.

Including supervising workers directly or through subordinate leaders in accomplishing the work of an organizational segment or group. I can establishing deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, and planning work assignments based on general work schedules, methods, and policies set by higher level supervisors; investigating work related problems and determining causes. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

PHYSICAL EFFORT: Employee serves as warehouse worker when necessary and therefore must be able to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly and for long periods of time. Performs extensive walking and standing and climbs self-standing ladders up to 15 feet high. Employee must be able to physically operate materiel handling equipment such as pallet jack, handcart, and forklift.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Administrative functions are performed in an office area within a warehouse however all other functions are performed in a warehouse environment under extremely hot and cold temperatures. No air conditioning and very little heat exists in the storage area. It is necessary to leave sliding doors open for long periods of time while loading and unloading trucks creating severe drafts. A roof is the only protection against weather while loading and unloading trucks. Work surfaces are concrete. Must wear appropriate safety equipment such as steel toed safety shoes, eye wear, hardhat, and gloves (which is provided by employer).
