Duties

Evaluates, plans and distributes work assignments on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Develops performance standards, counsels employees on performance, and makes formal and informal performance appraisals. Establishes a good working climate to encourage employees to participate in a safe work environment while achieving management goals, and to promote efficient and economical work operations.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 Security Investigation.
• This position may require the incumbent to travel (TDY) up to 5% of the time.
• This position requires the incumbent to successfully complete a pre-employment physical and annually thereafter.
• This position requires the incumbent to successfully complete a one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

They may lift and carry items that weigh up to 40 pounds. The heavier items are moved with material handling equipment or with assistance from other workers Working Conditions - Work is performed inside or outside, in areas that may be hot, damp, cold, drafty, or poorly lighted.Material handlers are regularly exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, abrasions, falls, and injuries from falling stock.
