Duties
You will be responsible for most aspects of Information Technology (IT) analysis, programming, testing, implementation, coordination, and maintenance.
You will research applicable regulations, standards and policies governing a variety of topics such as system performance and processing conditions.
You will integrate portions of the System Specifications (SS) or similar documents that were developed or modified by team members into the final design document.
You will navigate and manage database records using a data manipulation tool such as TOAD, SQL Developer, or equivalent.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Software Developer level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Utilizing programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, C#, Python, and Common Business Oriented Language (COBOL) to implement new system capabilities; 2) Providing technical guidance in designing, coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining assigned systems or applications; 3) Applying knowledge of policies, standards, and regulations associated with the development process to plan and conduct studies for projects; 4) Coding and testing software changes; and 5) Applying applications software and systems engineering concepts such as supportability, reliability, and scalability to optimize response time, consistency, infrastructure requirements, and database management features.
