About the Position: Serves as a technical specialist responsible for analyzing, organizing, and coordinating major elements of the safety program involving the Occupational Safety and Health Act for Huntsville Center (HNC).

Duties

Review and provide comment on safety documents, assessments, hazard analyses, system safety program plans, fire protection plans and analyses, site specific safety plans and other complex safety documents. Assist Senior Safety Manager as the safety office focal point for program(s) assigned and is an integral team member of the Product Delivery Team (PDT). Technical specialist responsible for analyzing, organizing, and coordinating major elements of the safety program involving the Occupational Safety and Health Act. Review and develop command level policies on safety and occupational health and related training programs under the direction of a Senior Safety Manager.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
