About the Position: This position is with the United States Army Reserve Command, G-1 Personnel Management Division, Active Military Management Branch, located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Implement Active Guard Reserve and Title XI Active Component officer and enlisted personnel lifecycle management policies and procedures as detailed in appropriate laws, regulations, and pamphlets.
Report on all Army Reserve Active Guard Reserve management and policy issues for the Army Reserve, G-1.
Resolve issues received from segments of the command regarding military personnel laws, regulations and policies and their application to special situations
Research changes in legislation, Department Of Defense, and Army policy for impacts on assigned programs.
Develop policy, guidance, procedures to implement changes in new military personnel policies.
Conduct staff assistance visits and inspections related to Army Reserve military personnel programs to ensure compliance with statute, policy, and directives.
Develop technical assistance for assigned programs to include teaching, coaching and mentoring team and subordinate command personnel.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing and coordinating military personnel programs; such as the United States Army Reserve (USAR) Active Guard Reserve (AGR), Temporary Manpower Allocations (TMA), promotions, reassignments, reclassifications, professional development education, separations, and/or tenured assignments; researching, analyzing, interpreting, and development of military personnel regulations, policies and procedures such as USAR AGR Soldiers; and use of automated military Personnel Systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
