About the Position: This position is located in the Department of Army Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G6 Budget and Execution Division, Fort Belvoir, VA. Performing a variety of administrative and analytical duties in the formulation, presentation, justification, execution and review of the total CIO/G-6 budget for assigned appropriations involving Operations and Maintenance, Army (OMA); and Other Procurement, Army (OPA).
Duties
Analyze and consolidate budget submission data and necessary justifications to support current and multi-year CIO/G-6 budgetary requirements as assigned in Planning Programming and Budgeting Business Operating System (PPBOS) Data Warehouse.
Monitor monthly obligations, expenditures, reimbursable orders, and requests for allotments for the total CIO/G-6 budget and identify potential issues and recommend solutions.
Serve as the CIO/G-6’s Reimbursable Budget Analyst for the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS).
Perform fund control functions to coordinate, plan and manage GFEBS reimbursable transactions administered through the execution of approved budgets and programs.
Review CIO/G-6 acquisition actions, prepare necessary documents to support these acquisition actions, i.e., GFEBS Standard Procurement System (SPS) requisitions and GFEBS Outbound Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPR).
Prepare briefing and information papers as required to update senior leaders on the status of reimbursements for Enterprise Level Agreement contract supports initiated by CIO/G-6 for the Army Enterprise.
Ensure all steps are taken to prevent statutory and regulatory violations such as over obligation of funds.

- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Qualifications
This position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 3 years by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes formulating and executing a budget to support short and long-range program goals and objectives: analyzing and consolidating budget estimates to reflect balanced and multi-year funding needs; utilizing automated financial systems such as, General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System (PPBES); and utilizing agency-wide policies and controls for the obligation and expenditure of funds. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
