About the Position: XVIII ABN CORPS, G-4 Logistics, US Army Forces Command Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Fort Liberty is a culturally diverse area with rural and city populations, co-located at Fayetteville, NC centrally located in the beautiful state of North Carolina, which enjoys a temperate year-round climate and world-renowned colleges and universities. Fayetteville is centrally located between the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.
Duties
Develops policies, plans, and instructions to ensure the most efficient and economical use of logistical resources.
Coordinates the logistics activities of the Command in such areas as logistics support, force modernization, logistics resource requirements and other 'similar activities.
Initiates requests for various service contracts relating to logistical support for FORSCOM units.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Occasional TDY travel is required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing, policies concerning transportation and movement of equipment and material to meet unit requirements and a range of skills, including problem-solving, effective communication, and attention to detail. experience of transportation laws and regulations, transportation; Software and tools for monitoring, managing, and analyzing transportation data. Experience as a liaison between the Command and support installations and activities to ensure logistical support; Resolve issues that involve conflicting program requirements for accuracy. 4) Provides technical advice, and assistance on transportation and traffic management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
