This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Office of Talent Acquisition (HRT), HR Corporate Recruitment (HRCR).
This position(s) primary purpose serves as a Human Resources Specialist (Recruitment) that provides corporate recruitment and marketing efforts for DEA's Criminal Investigator, Intelligence Research Specialist, Forensic Chemist, and Diversion Investigator positions; and as needed, other Mission Critical Occupations (MCO).

As a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT), your typical work assignments may include:
Performing HR functions such as recruiting, outreach and other organizational programs.
Assisting in developing studies and projects related to strategic planning, human capital, and diversity practices.
Communicating both verbally and in writing to establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships with internal and external sources.
Monitoring outreach efforts in target colleges and universities to effectively utilize various sources of potential job applicants.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. Qualification claims will be subject to verification.
GS-9:
Education:Master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.B or J.D., if related. NOTE: Graduate education must provide the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position;
OR
Experience:You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level in the normal line of progress for the occupation in the organization. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled.
To qualify for the GS-09 position, you must have (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 Federal grade level performing the following duties: 1) Providing staff-level advice to operating HR supervisors across the organization in the development of solutions to civilian HR recruitment program improvements; 2) Supporting recruiting, marketing, and outreach programs; 3) Assisting in developing marketing and recruitment materials to promote employment opportunities

Combination of Education and Experience:A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
