The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor and Chief of the Plans and Integration Section (LGRDX), providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over assigned nonsupervisory employees. This position will also serve as the Installation Deployment Officer (IDO).
Duties
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Plans and Integration Section ensuring logistics plans, deployment/reception operations, Base Support and Expeditionary (BAS&E) Site Plans, and War Reserve Material comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities
Plans and executes contingency, emergency, and/or expeditionary deployments and receptions for the installation
Responsible for providing training, resources, and logistics systems to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the installation deployment processes
Represents the Plans and Integration Section with a variety of installation and functional area organizations

- This position may function as the trainer/certifier for officer and enlisted personnel assigned to Logistics Readiness and/or Logistics Plans Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSCs)
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
Specialized Experience:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience include administration and oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Plans and Integration Section, providing oversight and implementing installation/Wing deployment command and control (C2) processes to ensure assigned units plan, prepare, and execute deployments. Services provided directly affect a large or complex, multi-mission military installation (exceeding 4000 serviced population).
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating contingency support, logistics readiness deployment and execution, war reserve materiel management, base/expeditionary support, sustainment, redeployment, mobility bags/small arms weapons, air terminal operations (for non-AMC bases), and logistics command and control.
2. Knowledge of logistics management information systems necessary for planning and executing deployment operations (e.g., Logistics Module (LOGMOD), Deliberate Crisis Action Planning and Execution Systems (DCAPES), UTC assessment Tool.)
3. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
4. Skill in analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting logistics readiness factors, and formulating procedural solutions to problems.
5. Ability to integrate the separate functions in planning or implementing a logistics management program.
6. Ability to plan, organize, and directs the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
