About the Position: Serves as the Logistics Readiness Officer for Winn Army Community Hospital (WACH), Logistics Division. Performs logistics management operational duties that involve planning, coordinating, and evaluating logistical actions in support of operations for mobilization, deployment, redeployment, special threats, disasters, repatriation, and/or other emergency situations.
Duties
Serves as the primary action officer for logistics support of planned and unannounced operational exercises or actual emergency operations.
Briefs the section leaders, supervisors, the director, and command staff on the progress of the exercise or on problems that may have surfaced.
Serves as the principal liaison and special staff officer for matters pertaining to medical logistics readiness, unit deployment and redeployment assistance, and medical logistics mobilization programs and functions.
Identifies the need for resolving problems in the program area; responds to higher echelon reporting requirements; makes decisions involving execution.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

- May be required to work extended hours (evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) based upon mission requirements.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess and maintain a Forklift license.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess and maintain FEMA certifications.
- This position requires incumbent to complete Accident Avoidance Course within 30 days upon hire.
- This position requires incumbent to obtain TMP license within 30 days upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- This position requires incumbent to possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
- This is a Key Emergency Essential position.
- This position has been designated Weather Essential. In the event of inclement weather conditions the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Providing logistics services support in such areas as supply, facilities, and/or transportation; Reviewing logistics operations reports and/or correspondences; AND Developing new or modified work methods and administrative procedures for the conduct of logistical support operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree ] in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Degree.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
