You will serve as a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (Recruitment & Placement) in the Staffing and Employment Branch, Human Resources Office (HRO), Business Directorate of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic.
Duties
You will advise hiring managers on the procedural and regulatory requirements governing the recruitment process.
You will advise junior personnel on the execution of procedures for human resources (e.g., recruitment, staffing, position management, position classification policies).
You will coordinate with multiple parties (e.g., multiple commands, agencies, human resources offices) to resolve human resources issues.
You will consult with customers to establish a mutually agreeable timeline for delivery of human resources products or services.

- This position may require occasional travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Applies a wide range of advanced Human Resources principles, concepts, and practices; 2) Possesses consultative skills sufficient to provide management consultative service involving the full spectrum of HR functions; 3) Understands the relationship of organizational and functional areas and the mission of serviced commands; 4) Uses sound judgment to interpret complex regulations, directives, and policies and applies them to a wide variety of issues; 5) Uses qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to analyze broad vision statements, administrative and/or complex legislative initiatives, and program objectives/achievements to assess their potential impact on the full spectrum of HR functions and recommend program/project initiatives and process/system improvements; and 6) Advises on complex staffing, compensation/pay setting, recruitment, and workforce shaping issues.
