Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As an Admnistrative Officer, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Participates in planning, developing, formulating, and administering the business processes and procedures supporting the activities of the agency's programs. Analyzes resource management data to identify risks, policy impact, plan improvements, and make recommendations for consideration by HHS's senior management. Serves the administrative functions in the agency: management analysis and organizational planning; HR management, labor and employee relations, workforce planning and employee development, acquisitions management, space and property management, health and safety programs. Recommends and prepares the agency position on proposed administrative procedures and practices and provides leadership and guidance to administrative, management, or operational problems. Directs and provides primary guidance to staffs; Assess and allocates time and resources in order to assign specific tasks to various staff members; set deadlines and ensure that they are met.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service performing the following: Advising and/or assisting top management personnel in the development of areas involving acquisitions management, budget planning issues, and personnel resources for an agency's operational activities Directing a complex administrative program which involves the development of major aspects of key agency administrative, regulatory, and/or policy development. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
