You will serve as a SUPV HR SPEC (CLASS) in the HUMAN RESOURCE & ORGANIZATIONAL MGT BR, ADMINISTRATIVE AND RESOURCE DIVISION of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will be responsible for directly supervising a staff of entry level/development to journey level classifiers and personally providing expert management advisory services to a variety of managerial and supervisory levels within serviced Commands.
You will independently resolve difficult issues and problems requiring consideration of the total human resources program.
You will collaborate with other HROM functional areas to provide a wholistic approach to resolving issues which require a cross-functional solution.
You will service managers and supervisors include effective and efficient structing and/or reconstructing of their organizations and individual positions based on new/changed missions.
You will oversee the master competitive levels roster and coordinates with the Service Center counterparts to ensure accurate codes are maintained for reduction in force (RIF) purpose.
You will assist in developing and implementing standardized Classification business processes to include defining and mapping processes and developing procedure guides.
You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees, etc.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Providing advice regarding position classification principles and practices; preparing evaluation statements using Office of Personnel Management classification standards to determine proper title, series, grade, and supervisory status; and implementing advice on organizational structuring to include consideration of career paths.
