Serves as an advisor on matters pertaining to the Army-wide Metrology, Calibration and TMDE Repair Quality Assurance, and Measurement Audit Program. Assists in developing and maintaining a comprehensive Quality Assurance, Audit, and Analysis Report System providing extremely high clarity content of complex high technology information.
Duties
Assist in the development and execution of a formalized Army-wide Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) surveillance, audit, and report program.
Perform Quality Assurance surveillance inspections in the TMDE support areas of administrative management, technical publication/regulations/ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), forms, reports, the (IMRF) and all other systems.
Analyze and evaluate TMDE technical management input for conformance with applicable requirements and standard practices.
Assist USATA laboratories to resolve TMDE support compliance issues.
Serve as a source matter expert to interpret requirements of ISO/IEC 17025.
Requirements

- This position requires Temporary Duty Travel up to 40% of the time.
- This position requires a Secret Security Clearance.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

In order to qualify, you must meet the Experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes managing daily calibration and repair workload, performing end item verifications on assigned technicians, effectively communicating equipment status updates with supported customers, and applying the rules and regulations associated with operation of an Army TMDE lab.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
