About the Position: US Army Aviation and Missile Command develops and delivers responsive aviation, missile and calibration materiel readiness to the United States Army.
"This position has been identified as meeting the criteria to be placed on the NH-IV control point not to exceed the GS-14, step 10, base pay amount."
Duties
Develop plans and strategies to provide leadership to subordinate employees and organizations on quality matters related to sustainment of weapon systems.
Brief and interact with senior military and civilian leaders to explain, advocate, and express facts and ideas on quality issues.
Direct, develop, and/or implement quality policies, processes, initiatives, and/or programs for major, highly complex weapon systems sustainment.
Define problems and develops recommendations for resolution of issues. Ensures coordination and/or participation in planning of all concerned functional elements.
Ensure compliance with policies and recommends policy changes to fit requirements.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13/NH-3 grade level in the Federal service which includes work that involves: Experience in advanced concepts, principles, practices and regulations pertaining to the broad field of logistics management related to a major aviation and/or missile weapon system project/program; experience in weapons systems lifecycle support and sustainment, equipment fielding requirements, integrated logistics support, maintenance support functions for aviation/missile weapons systems, various funding documents and materiel acquisition policy in order to integrate the separate logistics functions.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13/NH-03).
