About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist at the G-4 Equipment Readiness Division-Aviation Electronics Branch in Fort Liberty, NC.
Duties
Ensure system logistical support is in place during the life cycle of the system.
Review procedures with logistical matters pertaining to assigned system and items.
Coordinate fielding and deployment of new systems for operational use to accomplish missions.
Analyze transportational routes to determine the best course of action required to complete organizational operations.
Monitor inventory levels to confirm adequate amounts of supplies are available in conjunction with the required manpower to ensure operational readiness.
Monitor FORSCOM system and item asset inventory to resolve command excess and shortage shortfalls.
Provide Army Command (ACOM) level maintenance support, supplies, and readiness oversight of assigned systems and items.
Represent Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) at conferences within the command, exercising authority to commit definite courses of action.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Obtain and/or maintain a secret security clearance.
- Requires TDY via commercial air, military air, rail, private and commercial auto up to 25% of the time.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1). Logistics automation expertise in managing equipment via automated systems such as the Decision Support Tool and Global Combat Support System-Army; 2). Analyzing equipment on-hand reported on unit property books to develop divestiture, cascade, and redistribution plans; 3). Managing equipment fleets at the installation headquarter levels such as Army Command (ACOM), Army Service Component Command (ASCC), or Corps echelons; and 4). Equipping units in support of Combatant Command (COCOM) deployments, immediate/contingency forces, or modernization windows.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
