About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Workforce Management Specialist for the Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB) of the U.S. Army Sustainment Command (ASC) at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.
This position may be filled as a term appointment NTE 13 months. See 'Additional Information' section for further guidance.
Duties
Advise management on positions and personnel actions to include professional, technical, and administrative occupations of all grade levels.
Provide training and assistance to others on civilian personnel matters.
Review and analyze new and updated human resource management directives, policies, procedures, and requirements for significant changes.
Serve as liaison between management, the Civilian Human Resources Service Center (CHRSC), and higher headquarters for all classification and position management actions.
Perform in-depth reviews of outgoing personnel actions and position action requests.
Provide quality control of outgoing workforce management documents ensuring material is ready for processing by the CHRSC.
Provide advice and assistance to others regarding discipline, adverse actions, grievances, performance management and recognition, employee counseling, and related functions.

- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- Term employment is subject to a one year trial period.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Initiating recruitment and selection processes for servicing organizations; 2) Assisting management on personnel regulations and administrative practices; and 3) Implementing internal procedures to ensure compliance with governing regulations and law. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
