You will serve as an INTERDISCIPLINARY SUPERVISORY OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST/COMPUTER SCIENTIST in the NAVSAFECOM.
Duties
You will perform a wide range of safety data services, research and analytical studies on safety-related data, and modeling.
You will serve as advisor and technical consultant on all matters associated with command analytic capabilities and application of or research into methods and techniques to store, manipulate, transform or present information.
You will lead efforts to promote the organization's use of knowledge management and information sharing.
You will monitor and supervise command quality control processes to ensure data is accurate and complete.
You will provide 2nd level supervisory duties for approximately 49 billets.
Requirements

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following:
1) Conducting comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analysis of financial data and information using various financial systems;
2) Planning and performing analysis of complex business and financial transactions by using accounting, auditing, analytical, technical, and investigative skills to determine in transactions are in accordance with laws, policies, and regulations;
3) Serving as a financial management policy and technical consultant on all matters concerning financial improvement and audit remediation of fiscal laws and financial policies, processes, and procedures.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess:
1515 - SUPERVISORY OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST:
Degree: in operations research
or
at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
1550 - SUPERVISORY COMPUTER SCIENTIST:
Bachelor's degree in computer science
or
bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
