You will serve as a SUPERVISORY OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST in the KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT & SAFETY PROMOTION DIRECTORATE of NAVSAFECOM.
Duties
You will serve as principal advisor and technical consultant to the Commander on all matters associated with quantitative analytic capabilities of the command.
You will research and recommend new or revised analytic requirements, procedures, and products to achieve broad program goals set by command leadership.
You will serve as the senior technical lead for the production of assessments, studies, and papers in all areas of safety and risk management.
You will supervise the development and maintenance of safety and risk dashboards that provide unit level and aggregate safety information useful to operational decision makers across the enterprise.
You will supervise the communication of safety and risk information to stakeholders using a variety of multi-media formats.
You will perform the full range of Supervisory duties to include setting priorities, developing performance standards, and evaluating work performance.

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience performing work equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1. Providing organizational leadership to include setting goals and deadlines, planning workflows, managing priorities, and evaluating employee performance; 2. Overseeing data management activities (collection, storage, partitioning, structures, and retrieval) in conjunction with knowledge management and communication strategies; 3. Researching and recommending new/revised accident or mishap investigation techniques, including causal analysis techniques; 4. Leading and managing analytical projects, studies, papers, or other research activities to achieve program goals.

Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:
Applicants must possess a degree: in Operations Research;
OR at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours MUST have been in calculus.
