Duties

You will manage Base Operating Service (BOS) contracts. You will provide oversight of service contracts for the maintenance of buildings, building systems, and facilities. You will prepare cost estimates, performance work statements and maintenance schedules to ensure contract performance goals are met. You will read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematic drawings, specifications, and technical manuals. You will provide information of budget estimates and workload data to higher-level supervisors and analysts for repair and maintenance work.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes during work site visits.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing Base Operating Service (BOS) contracts; 2) Providing oversight of service contracts for maintenance of buildings, building systems, and facilities; 3) Preparing cost estimates, performance work statements and maintenance schedules to ensure contract performance goals are met; 4) Reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, schematic drawings, specifications, and technical manuals. *This experience must be clearly demonstrated in your resume.
