About the Position: This is a Human Resources Specialist position within the U.S. Army Center for Initial Military Training (USACIMT) with duty location in Fort Eustis, Virginia.

Duties

Advise management officials and supervisors on appropriateness, preparation and type of award, following regulatory requirements and policy interpretations governing their use. Prepare and submit AutoNOA tickets for personnel actions and monitors, tracks, and advises management of the status of those actions. Serve as action officer and advisor to the Director on human resources (HR), providing advice and technical guidance to servicing organizations. Ensure that all necessary technical work is completed prior to submitting personnel actions to the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC) for processing. Respond to any inquiries, or internal audit controls, implementing corrective actions/improvements, as necessary.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-07. GS-11 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) applying a wide range of Human Resource Management concepts, principles, laws, regulations and practices sufficient to identify, evaluate, and integrate a wide range of considerations into problem solving; 2) skill in applying human resources regulations and guidance sufficient to plan and conduct systematic studies to identify immediate and long range program needs; 3) verbal and written communication skills in order to write, interpret and develop implementing instructions to higher echelon regulations; AND 4) position management and classification in order to provide advice and assistance to managers on position descriptions, factor evaluations, and proper determination of job series. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-09. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer ServiceManages and Organizes InformationTechnical CompetenceWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
