You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the OFFICE OF SECURITY PROGRAMS of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT.
Duties
You will manage major aspects of security administration work and inspection oversight duties that may impact more than one functional security area.
You will brief Senior personnel on the Navy position for export license requests from industry which require research, analysis, assessments of technology transfer concerns, development and staffing of positions and development of briefings.
You will evaluate Export licenses requests from industry to ensure the physical security of hardware and the informational security of USG and proprietary technical data.
You will draft positions to include inputs from engineers, disclosure specialist, and intelligence officers.
You will prepare reports and provide briefings on controversial or complex issues.
You will seek consultation correct jurisdiction for export requests between the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulation (EAR).
You will conduct research, analyze and apply U.S. national disclosure policy and Department of Navy (DON) foreign disclosure policy in the protection of NAVSEA weapons technologies and programs.
You will assist the lead Foreign Disclosure Office in all matters related to foreign disclosure and foreign visit requests.
You will collaborate with cognizant NAVSEA subject matter experts and technical warrant holders to protect advanced naval programs and technologies from unauthorized foreign release.
You will provide comprehensive guidance on the disclosure of classified information.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- You will be required to complete the Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) under the SPeD certification program within six months of assignment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 pay band (GS-11 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing security functions to ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, or processes to ensure protection for Technical Security and Foreign Disclosure practices from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, or loss.
