You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the SCURITY BRANCH (SP33) of STRATEGIC SYSTEMS PROGRAMS . This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-4 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.

Duties

You will serve as Integration Security Officer in the General Security Specialist in the Security Section (SP332) You will develop, implement, administer and execute the Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) Acquisition Security Program as a sub-program of the overall Command Security Program, consistent with all applicable DoD, DON and SSP policies and procedures. You will evaluate and advise the Director of Security on Integration Security program status and provides supporting documentation, reports and metrics regarding programs compliance, effectiveness and efficiency. You will identify threats and vulnerabilities to command equities relative to the Acquisition Security programs and develops countermeasures to mitigate security risk. You will advise Director of Security on Integration security skills and staffing gaps, and workload execution utilizing risk management to optimize balance between security capability and operational efficiency within program resource constraints.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing knowledge of security policies or programs to proactively identify threats and vulnerabilities for the effectiveness of security operations or programs. .
