You will serve as a Supervisory Government Special Access Program (SAP) Officer - GSSO in the Security and Intelligence Operations Division (00G) within NAVAL SEA SYSTEMS COMMAND.
Duties
You will be responsible for expert level Government Special Access Program Security Officer support to complex, multi-level special security programs in order to fully meet the NAVSEA, Navy and DoD policies, programs and procedural requirements.
You will supervise other entry, journey, and master level GSSOs
You will be responsible for creating and integrating special program environments for new and existing requirements.
You will serve as the focal point for coordination of all SAP environment matters to eliminate duplication of effort and ensure leaders are fully informed on the SAP architecture contained within the NAVSEA HQ.
You will monitor and maintain SAP facility (SAPF) demand signals across NAVEA and coordinating with SAPF program managers in planning and meeting SAPF requirements.
You will work with division and department leadership as well as the NAVSEA Program GSSOs and CPSOs to continually assess and optimize the Program Special Security division structure, billet structure, and organizational footprint.
You will work with the NAVSEA Program GSSOs and CPSOs on local interpretation of policy and implementation of new developments and advancements in the Special Security field.
You will develop training and other mechanisms for ensuring both the security workforce and the customer base are enabled to keep our nation’s program information secure.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Must be able to pass a counterintelligence (CI) polygraph examination
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent), in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing guidance, management or expert support for a government Special security program to ensure all documentation, data and technology is protected in accordance with pertinent law, policy, guidance, and authorities.
