You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Office of the Commander of NAVAL SEA SYSTEMS COMMAND.

Duties

You will serve as the Command Intelligence Oversight Officer. You will provide counsel, advice and assistance to the Command regarding Intelligence Oversight. You will serve as technical authority for Intelligence Oversight Officer in the Security Office. You will establish processes and procedures for the periodic comprehensive review of all intelligence and intelligence-related activities under NAVSEA HQ authority. You will exercise functional oversight of any issues that arise. You will participate in various boards and panels that influence security policy up to National level. You will advise the Director if Intelligence Operations deficiencies that would affect the security posture of the sites and facilities. You will recommend changes to policy as a result of trends discovered in review and analysis process. You will monitor and report on the status and progress of work. You will represent NAVSEA HQ and the enterprise in dealings with higher level management for the purpose of obtaining resources and securing needed information or decisions on major work problems and issues that arise.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing, implementing, and administering physical security program policies and procedures for an industrial security program.
