You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY) in the MANPOWER MANAGEMENT DIVISION of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert for the Marine Corps on all matters relating to military awards.
You will maintain the electronic improved Awards Processing System for originating, endorsing, approving and recoding personal and unit awards across the Marine Corps.
You will ensure that all military awards decisions made by the Commandant and the Deputy Commandant, are in full compliance with all governing federal status and DoN and OSD regulations on militaryawards.
You will provide a full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties including work planning, assignments, training, discipline, and leave administration..
You will establish performance standards, objectives and conducts performance evaluation of subordinates.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing leadership, management, and direct oversight to the daily operation of the Marine Corps' diverse and complex military awards program using the Improved Automated Awards System.
