About the Position: This OPERATIONS OFFICER position is assigned to PEO C3T PMO MISSION COMMAND (6JB) BUSINESS MANAGEMENT DIVISION, located in APG, MD.

Duties

Serve as the Chief of Operations for the PM responsible to support senior leadership in matters of planning, documenting, and executing operations for the organization. Ensure that all communications, both internal to the PM, and external between the PM and other organizations, are open, professional, timely, and promote organizational goals. Act as the technical advisor for operations support functions with responsibilities for planning and directing the effectiveness of a variety of operation functions and programs. Serve as the PM Operations representative and coordinator for all activities, both internal and external to the organization.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP) and requires a 3-year tenure agreement. Must sign DD Form 2889 (Critical Acquisition Position Service Agreement) and execute, as a condition of employment, a written tenure agreement.
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess 4 years of Acquisition experience.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03 or GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementCommunicationsInformation ManagementPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (NH-03 or GS-13).
